OSHA-Occupational Safety and
Health Administration
Carolinas AGC works closely with
Federal OSHA and both
North Carolina
OSHA and South Carolina OSHA programs. We have entered
into a
Safety Alliance with Federal OSHA that will focus on training the newly hired
construction worker in safety.
On the state level, we regularly partner with NC and SC OSHA
on numerous occasions performing joint training, delivering training
video-teleconferences, developing safety videos, hosting construction safety
forums, and working together to develop the first construction VPP (voluntary
protection Program) in the country.
As we continue to grow our partnerships with Federal and
State OSHA, Carolinas AGC looks forward to suggestions from our members on new
programs that may serve beneficial to the industry.
North Carolina and South Carolina DOT (Department of
Transportation)
Carolinas AGC enjoys a healthly relationship with the
North Carolina DOT and
South Carolina DOT Safety Divisions. These two agencies have helped
co-sponsor three separate safety video-teleconferences in the past and are always
willing to participate in joint training.
SCDOT has worked with Carolinas AGC on various other
projects including most recently, 40 Hour Mobile Crane Safety Training and 16
Hour Traffic Control Supervisor Safety Training.
As we continue to grow our partnerships with North and South Carolina DOT, Carolinas AGC looks forward to suggestions from our members on new
programs that may serve beneficial to the industry.
