Fox Contractors - Indiana Excavation Contractor : A Fleetwatcher customer in Indiana began a job at the Indianapolis Airport with four 627 Scrapers. All four operators reporting that they were doing 80 loads a day. The Fleetwatcher Productivity Report showed that two scrapers were averaging approximately 75 loads per day, while two others were averaging about 45 loads per day. (240 loads total per day avg.) The contractor replaced the two “under-performers” and after all operators were aware that Fleetwatcher was counting the loads, averaged almost 90 loads a day each (Approx. 350 loads per day!) The job took about 4 months, and would have taken another month if the inefficient operators had not been replaced! Bottom Line – Increased productivity of over 500 loads of dirt a week, for 4 months! Approximate savings of over $100,000!

LEW Inc. – Pennsylvania Site and Utility Contractor: This contractor implemented Fleetwatcher at the beginning of 2004. By increasing utilization, productivity and mobilization of equipment, this contractor was able to reduce their fleet by 15% providing a significant infusion of cash while reducing the management and maintenance expense for that equipment. They simultaneously improved their performance related to timely job completions and coming in on or under budget. As a result of increased utilization, hourly cost for equipment went down which enabled this contractor to be more competitive and successful in their bidding efforts. Bottom line: By Q3 of 2005, the contractor had increased his fleet and revenues by over 50% over 2004 and continues to grow his business with Fleetwatcher!

Kelchner Inc. – Ohio Site and Utility Contractor: This customer had a job moving 470 cubic yards of slippery material and was using four 40-ton haul trucks. Using the Fleetwatcher Productivity Report, the contractor was monitoring how many loads the four trucks were completing each day. A week into the job a truck was out of service for two days and Fleetwatcher showed that the three trucks were doing as many loads as four were doing. He sent the rented truck back and saved 3 months of rent, labor and fuel! Bottom line: Saved over $70,000 on that one job.
