Qualification for Project SuperVISION
Instructors
Candidates to become a certified instructor must:
- Complete at least the two-day craft instructor-training program and attend the Master Trainer program as soon as possible thereafter. To qualify for the Craft Instructor Training Program, applicants must
:
- Be approved by the Training Program Sponsor.
- Be journeyman level or higher in his or her craft.
- To qualify for the Master Trainer class, applicants must first demonstrate at least one of the following:
- Two years of experience as a trainer, instructor, or educator, or
- An Associate’s Degree or higher in education, a construction-related field, industrial arts, or a similar field from an accredited post-secondary institution, or
- A minimum of two years of experience at a supervisory level or higher in the construction or maintenance industry
- Have a minimum of 10 years' construction experience, field, office, or relevant educational training with the exception of TSP instructors who must have OSHA 500 training.
- Have at least two years' experience in the course to be taught and attend a two-hour training session for that specific class.
- Be familiar with Project SuperVISION material.
- Be computer literate.
- Have knowledge of contract or construction law.
