Committees > 2006-07 Bridge Committee

Function:  Maintains liaison between Highway-Heavy Division members involved in bridge construction and top level highway officials in the highway departments who are involved in the design and construction of bridges.  Works with the highway departments in upgrading structure specifications, construction procedures, and requirements through Structure Design Subcommittees of the Joint Committees.  Provides recommendations to the Joint Committees as appropriate.  Promotes bridge construction and rehabilitation through the competitive bid system.
